Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. I have noted previous bad reviews.... I am baffled at the expectations from people at a biker bar. You DO realize it is a biker bar right? Beer is good. Food is good. Atmosphere is also good. There is a good chance you will be sitting outside. When it gets busy. Odd news...there is more of a wait for food to come out. Why I gave it 5 stars?? Because I like to stumble off the beach and grab a couple beers and a good fish sandwich. You know a little local spot where I don't have to deal with snooty retirees in khaki shorts...the kind that send food back because it is too salty or put their poodles in baby strollers. Lynn our waitress is awesome.

Going to Archie's Seabreeze is like going to a Jimmy Buffet concert afterparty. Except there are no margaritas. I believe that the reviewers giving this place 5-stars are saying to themselves, "this is what a biker bar should be! Full of sweaty, drunk people being served mediocre food in a dirty place." I say that it doesn't have to be that way! Do you think that bikers don't want to use a clean bathroom? I think they do. Do bikers order their burgers medium and expect them to come out overcooked? I don't think so. Do bikers want some hard liquor on occasion? Maybe. At least if this place had a full bar it might have helped me forget how dirty the bathroom was. I don't think Archie's will miss me when I don't return. I don't fit in anyway.

Stopped in early in the afternoon on a weekday for a couple of beers. The bartender, Rocco, was AWESOME! Very friendly, energetic and funny. Made our experience there enjoyable and memorable. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in the Fort Pierce area.

Anyone who knows me or follows my reviews knows I am a fan of dive bars. Why? because they generally have the most fun clientel, prices are good, and so is the food.......most of the time anyway. Archie's is no exception. We went there Saturday afternoon. We sat outside on long tables with bar chairs. There was a band that was pretty damn good. The beer was icey cold and I love the way they send out pitchers....they but a ziplock bag of ice on top to keep it cold..BRILLIANT! And I don't want to here the sanitary thing...know why? If you like to have chocolate your probably eating about a pound of bug parts every year (look it up). I still like chocolate and I LOVE cold beer...any other pointers? We didn't get a chance to try any food as we were on a crawl and were stuffed but I will go back and update you when I do.

Located on the South Beach across the street from the ocean on South Ocean Drive in Fort pierce, this landmark has been a hangout for many bikers throughout the years. Long ago only the hard core would dare venture into this tavern. Now layed back and peaceful, all are welcome. Archies is still the place to park your bike even if it is a rice burner. Your bike is always just a few feet away. Here's where you can show off your $60,000 bike. Some may object to the dirt parking lot but that may be a plus if you look at it's history. The casual atmosphere and layed back appearance draws me to the place once in a while. 20 wings for $8 and some change. The hamburger is a little high priced though The occasional poker run or hog roast is a crowd pleaser. Not safe for the kids though because of the brief nudity from time to time. Speaking of nudity, the sanctioned Wet T-Shirt contest is an attention getter too. And there's bands just about ever time I go there. A band was playing on a Thursday nite when I was there last sometime in November.

Dog friendly patios. Friendly staff. Divey, but it does the trick if your looking for fried food and cheap beers!
(3)Jeff P.
Kitschy local dive near the water with plenty of outdoor seating. Bring bug spray.
(3)Doug S.
This is a fantastic outdoor dive bar with friendly service, great beer on tap and an outstanding atmosphere. I've been going here since before 2004 (when Ft. Pierce was hit with TWO hurricanes in one season); and was saddened when Archie's was closed for repairs for a couple of years. This was my first time back in a long time, and it's good to see that the bar's "dive persona" has been absolutely preserved. They serve pretty delicious home cooked style bar food. Conch fritters and buffalo chicken sandwiches were the specials for the evening when I was there. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and an order of a dozen steamers (clams) as a starter -- total yum. There are some crazy locals that frequent this place, and, on a Monday night I witnessed a crazy biker-type dude, dancing and playing his air guitar to Jimi Hendrix songs that he was playing on the juke box. The best part was that he was completely invisible to everyone else in the bar -- it's like I was the weirdo for watching him. LOVE IT! If you're in the vicinity you really have to try to make it over to the beach and at least grab a beer here. You'll feel totally comfortable (the sign out front says "no shirt, no shoes, no problem!") and you'll enjoy the vibe. Check it out -- and bring some quarters for the juke box, and some dollars for "the claw" (which is like the claw you see at the arcades where you get a chance to grab a stuffed animal, except here, it's a claw that grabs A LIVE LOBSTER out of the lobster tank -- if you get it, they'll cook it up for you!).
(5)Thirsty J.
Another authentic Florida experience! Great atmosphere, great HH prices, live music! Definitely a blend of locals, bikers, and vacationers. An unpretentious crowd where everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We ordered the nachos...layered w/chilli and cheese paired with cold beer! Can't beat it! Yumm!
(5)Brandon S.
Pretty good outdoor hangout. Close to the Ft Pierce jetty. Live bands are common. Food and drinks are decent and reasonably cheap. Lots of road construction nearby so that could make things interesting getting in and out.
(3)Randy T.
Certainly not much to look at, in fact, first time we passed it looking for a place to eat, we didn't stop. However, the second time we did stop, and glad we did! Food is fairly basic, but what a great job they do with it. the buffalo bites are exceptional - best we've ever had since Longhorn used to have the same tasting ones and stopped carrying them (stupid move!). Burgers are great, salads excellent, sandwiches all very tasty. Fries are fair - that could use a change. Nighttime music a nice plus. We will now become regulars.
(4)Michael H.
Archie's is a delicious place to eat. They have a sign up that reads good food not fast... I have won 2 lobsters out of their tank. If you win it, they cook it. We love the laid back atmosphere, the wait staff are super friendly and the food never disappoints! They have something for everyone!
(5)Vincent T.
Just moved to area, lot of people wouldn't know they serve breakfast. One of the best I've probably had in recent memory, perfect. $6, totally trounces Dennys/Ihop
(5)Tamessa C.
I have only been here once, but the one time was really good. Got a hamburger and fries of course. Very good burger. It was juicy and had great flavor. Fries were good too. Service leaved little to be desired and is why I didn't give it 5 stars. They weren't busy at all and our waitress didn't come by to check on us until we had finished our food and only had one drink served to us. Other than that, if you want good lunch, I would re
(4)Brian G.
If you don't like this place, you're lame. Ate here three times while on vacation last week. It is not the most amazing place in the world, but you can't beat the laid back atmosphere. First night had the shrimp caesar salad - very good. Second time had the dolphin melt and wings - very good. Third night had the pulled pork - pretty good. Just go there and drink the dollar drafts during happy hour, lay back, relax and get over the fact that the bathrooms aren't luxury and the fact that this place isn't the epitome of cleanliness. I'd really give it four stars but I'm making up for the people who unfairly rate this place low.
(5)John L.
After passing by this place a few times and thinking "touristy", I dropped by on 12/26, on my bike, for a burger and a beer. Fortunately, I was very pleasantly surprised. Totally laid back and while it definitely caters to my demo (40+, Harley, classic rock on stereo), there was a good mix of family crowd, bikers lite and generally a good, healthy mix of patrons. Jalapeño cheddar burger rocked, ale was cold and bartender/waitstaff was hyper attentive. While the fries could have spent a touch less time in the oil bath, all in all, just about perfect. Also, looks like it's just beer and wine, which I believe is a good thing. But, maybe that was just during the day, not sure.
(4)Ted F.
Food isn't great but certainly not bad. I'd stick with the burger or the wings. The bar is beer only, it seems kind of dumb to not serve liquor at the one famous 'bar' in Fort Pierce. The wait to get your food can be stupendously long at times without any good reason, but there have been times where it wasn't beyond normal. Food is good, service is meh, and bar options are lousy for being a 'bar'.
(3)Kim B.
Not a fan. First time here. Sat outside. There were soooooooooo many flies around my food. Gross!!! Food was okay but nothing great. It is very casual. Um, super casual. Service was good but I wasn't impressed. Ordered the conch fritters. They had corn in them. Probably to act as extra fillers. Weak!!!! Will not be back. They actually had a bottle of OFF bug spray repellent on the bar. Yuck!
(1)William H.
Happy hour weekdays 3-6 with drafts for a dollar. Great burgers and excellent service. Thursday is Prime Rib night for $12.95. Very good!
(4)Nicole B.
We love Archie's! Can't beat their happy hour 3-6 with dollar drafts. I've only ever had their chicken sandwich which sometimes it's awesome and other times it's so-so but must depend whose cooking it but I hear they have the best burger on the island. They have a little sand area outside with toys for kids to play and keep busy. All our servers have been nice anytime we've gone, really nothing to complain about here!
(4)Richard R.
ordered garlic wings with mild sauce on the side. awesome 9.00 pitchers 5 mugs per.amber bock rules
(5)Bob S.
Writing Archie's off our list -- hamburgers not up to their old standard - I tried the ribs -- awful -- couldn't even chew thru the tough meat -- I lived in KC for years -- these ribs weren't even up to Florida standards -- better at Bonos or Sonnys -- and I can make better baked beans at home and almost broke a tooth on a ham bone in the greens -- maybe another storm should go thru Ft. Pierce again and put Archie's out of it's misery !!! Archie was killed off in the comics too
(1)Dick A.
Been there a couple of times, and it's a "so-so" kind of place. Very relaxed atmosphere. We tried the conch sandwiches last visit, they we so tough you could barely eat them. The New England clam chowder was excellent. Service was o.k.
(2)Anne D.
First time there. Loved the atmosphere - I had fish and chips, he had a BBQ sandwich. The fish was way overlooked, fries undercooked and the sandwich was just ok. Potato salad was good. Server was nice. ;) I feel like if you're a bar (tavern) and you're only serving beer and wine, the food needs to be great!
(2)LauRen B.
Live music on Sunday. Dog friendly seating!. good simple food. unpretentious atmosphere.
(4)Jenny G.
Passed by and thought it looked like an interesting place so we stopped in for lunch. We wandered around the front of the restaurant waiting to be seated as multiple waitresses passed us by without a word. After making our way to the outdoor bar and checking with the bartender, we learned it was seat yourself. We ordered two beers (delicious, served in ice cold glass mugs), two cups of clam chowder, and for the meal, I got the shrimp basket with sweet potato fries and my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich. About five minutes later our waitress came back and said they didn't have pulled pork that day so my boyfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger instead. The waitress arrived with our clam chowder, which was different than anything I've ever tasted. It had a very tangy taste to it, almost as if it was made with yogurt. I'm from New England and prefer traditional clam chowder, but I finished my cup. My boyfriend hated his and barely touched it. Our meals arrived not too long later. The cheeseburger was tasteless and oily on a soggy bun. My shrimp was a bit overdone and tasted frozen - not much flavor. I found that a few shrimp hadn't been deveined, which grossed me out a little. The sweet potato fries were fresh and not greasy. Our bill came to $52, without tip. I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised but it made for a very expensive yet very mediocre lunch. I definitely wouldn't come back here for the food. However, it's a pretty unique biker bar and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a different kind of place to relax and have a beer.
(2)M T.
Always a good time. Archie's has always been a long time location for our work parties. Food is good, as well is the staff. I can guarantee I will find myself there again and again. :-)
(4)Jenny M.
We heard that Archie's had great burgers but unfortunately it was not very good. It tasted like it was cooked during lunch and then microwaved just for us (it was 3:30) - the meat was over cooked with not much flavor. The fries were less than mediocre and were cold when we got our basket. It's an old building with no air conditioning and the bar was sticky and grimy - the kind you don't want to touch, especially when your getting ready to eat. The crowd was an old hippy/vagrant looking local crowd and the atmosphere was laid back. On the positive side - The beer was cold and the mugs were frosted - should of just stuck with that!
(2)Connie S.
It is all about Location. It is near the beach. Right on A1A... so you gotta expect that is what you are "paying" for. However, my husband and I ordered a hamburger & fries, at 9$ so you would expect them to be made by hand and brought to you in about 10 minutes, minimum. My hamburger arrived by someone other than my waiter in less than 2 minutes. ... well done. It was obviously cooked ahead and microwaved. Very disappointing, and overpriced for what was served. The atmosphere is very loud and annoying.
(2)Joe K.
Tried Archie's out today after hearing good things about it. First off, $1 beer Mon-Fri 3-6pm. Already a win there. Mondays they have bingo also in that time range, and wow, there are some big pots for games while we were there. Apparently it gets much higher during the season. The cause is great as well. The service is quick, the food, only tried the fried pickles which were good. There was more then I was expecting, and some fried jalapeno's in there as well. Very tasty. Archie's is surprisingly large with a big back patio, indoor area, and little covered booths. Will visit again.
(4)Andrew D.
Archie's Seabreeze is exactly what you would think it is when passing by. A casual biker bar with loud music, lots of loud Harley's starting up every few minutes, so-so food, and slow service. They had a live band at Archie's when I was there (didn't catch their name) and they were actually pretty good. Think Woodstock meets Hells Angels meets a 3 star diner and you'd be pretty close. If you love Harley's, you'll love this place, if you're not that type, I can almost guarantee you won't. I drive a Honda GoldWing ( I used to own a Harley) so I'm ok with it, but it's not really my preferred style. The service here was not really that good. A young girl asked us what we wanted to drink, then explained how everything is served in cans because of some sort of water / bacteria issue (not a good way to start). About 15 min later we got our drinks and waited another 10 min to place our order. Our food took a about 30 min to arrive but it was hot, maybe they were just busy. The one shining star in the service was the food runner (the guy from the kitchen that brings the food), he was really nice, personable, and helpful. I ordered the fish sandwich which was ok (kind of thin, deep fried with a lot of batter), my Girlfriend ordered the chicken fingers which were better. I probably should have ordered the burger or some wings. My bad. Seemed like folks were getting faster service at the bar, and they were definitely happier. I never drink and drive on a bike, so I'm a little put off to see others do so. Makes me worry for them. (Please wear your helmet at least!). Overall Archie's is exactly what you'd expect in a biker bar. Lots of drinks, some loud music, bar food, and lots of motorcycles. I would stop in again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. 3 Stars.
(3)Rebecca O.
Awesome place! If you're not into loud music, loud bikes, and loud people... don't go here. We had a great time. The music was good, the staff was friendly, and the food was great! I had the gyro and it was delicious and cheap! Very fun place to hang out!
(5)Becka S.
Not the best breakfast spot due to flies and enduring bar smell. Food ok, service friendly. Seems like it would be a fun drinking spot.
(2)E B.
1st time we went here for a biker rally, beer was cold, food and service were great. (August 2014) just went in January 2015 and it was HORRIBLE! bottled beer was skunked (3 different brands), pitcher beer was soap sudsy, service was poor and food was average at best, band was lame....won't go back anytime soon. :[
(1)David M.
very friendly waitstaff. clean bathrooms. This is your fucking diamond in the rough not fucking jans. Best breakfast ive had ina while, fantastic omlets. NOT greesy ass shit. good coffee. food comes out on time. everybody is so friendly there. Burgers are good. great shrimp. Live music. Bikers do come there, but nothing rowdy going on. plenty of places to sit, outside area is really nice, great views. Pricing is really good. Decorations on the inside are bad ass. Deff a unique place. I highly reccomend eating here, espically for breakfast. Very Casual place Yes the motorcycles are loud starting up, just putting that out there. beer is cheap as well. kind of loud at night time, but hell its worth it. Love the quick servie there and 1$ beers from what I can remember. Pictures to come soon. very very fucking awesome place, usualy some good looking women there as well. that is all for now.
(5)Mike B.
I want to live at this place Best bar I've ever been to, plus it's a biker bar! Great food, cheap beer, live music, tons of seating, close to the beach, friendly staff, great parking. There is nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely will be back whenever we are in town.
(5)Anita C.
This place is a dang hole in the wall restaurant, but its a dang GREAT hole in the wall restaurant!! Been here a few times but this last time was exceptional for the food and the service was right where it needs to be for this style restaurant. Prepare to hang with some biker types and fellow beachy peeps in a very casual setting. Feel free to pop in wearing flip flops and shorts and a T and feeling right at home. A lot of outdoor seating mainly in the back under a canopy of trees with an open air bar and a variety of seating setups. Food wise we hit home runs on everything. We got 20 wings and you can split them 10/10 as far as how you want them made. We got ten with garlic and parmesian and the other ten with teriyaki and chili sauce and man were they both fantastic with the latter being the best in our opinions. We also had peal n eat shrimp which are served warm with some seasoning and melted butter and they were nicely yummy too. Beers were pretty reasonably priced as well as the food. For a delicious dive dining experience do not miss this 50+ year old establishment! (50+ according to a sign there).
(5)Matthew W.
Stopped by after fishing... fried clams were awesome. I got the fried fish basket and my beautiful gf got the blackened fish basket - they were both cooked to perfection. The blackened fish was generously seasoned and not overwhelming. We highly recommended Archie's and will definitely visit again when in the area. Great pirate theme!
(5)John C.
Had Robert as our server. Didn't even see him until it was time to pay. Had to ask someone else for water. Order of 20 wings. Oh you want two sauces? You'll have to order 10 wings twice to do that! Also Greek salad didn't come with white sauce like the menu said. Food was mostly bland except for the wings. Certain beers aren't available until 3pm (even had full price). Also, it's a parking lot view not a water view. You can however go onto the beach easily once you're done there.
(1)Jeff K.
Lets start off by saying the beer was cold, we went there specifically for the ribs, our waitress Sarah sucked...... We ordered our food than patiently waited....we waited some more, then finally walked over and asked her where our food was..... well............ Turns out our food was given to another table, and by the time she got our order correct all the ribs were gone.....completely horrible experience
(1)Sidecar Rich S.
Love the fact that you can have a burger done your way..The popcorn butter that comes with the shrimp wants to make you go see a movie...lol. If your on a motorcycle there's plenty of bike parking.
(5)S B.
Lots of beachy, biker ambiance. Probably wild at night. During lazy Christmas holiday visit to Fl, it's rustic charm is the best!
(4)Chris S.
I've eaten here several times, staff has always been great but the food is getting worse everytime I eat here. This time the fries were undercooked, the fried fish was WAY overcooked/fried....the coleslaw can only be described as mayonnaise with a crunch...the onion rings were great...but overall bad food, low quality food, bad cook...This is a USED TO BE GOOD restaurant....go for a beer and people watching only...the people watching is awesome...some of the patrons are...well...interesting, lmao!
(2)Cindy H.
Enjoying their Budweiser celebration!! 19th year in a row of being the #1 seller on the Treasure Coast. Woohoo!! Free beers start...NOW.
(5)Suzanne V.
Okay, but not great. Nice stop off in route to somewhere else.
(3)David G.
Rubbish food - Rubbish service. Order wrong for both wife and I. Rude staff - limited menu on weekends would have been nice to know beforehand. Basic fried shrimp tasted awful. Fries were frozen. If you limit your menu at least try. Onion rings served in a pool of grease. Typical sign of restaurant getting lazy and mailing it in...
(1)Jane H.
Awesome place. Great food, plenty of it, no skimping here! A beehive of activity. Enjoyed the food, staff, music & company. Great bang for your buck.
(5)Jake Z.
Environment is very fun and relaxed making it a great visit once or twice on a trip but the food doesn't do much to add to the good atmosphere. Service is pretty spotty too but it's just a fun place to be in general
(3)Glenn S.
Since you are serving food why the hell not at least make it great!!! How hard is it to hire a real chef and an expeditor to make the it the best food possible anywhere for the money. Take pride in what you serve. We are paying good money for it. Do that and you have a winner on your hands. People love good food. why not make them happy with a little extra effort. Would it kill you!! Come on , get your S--t together in the kitchen. Its not all about the beer and bikes. thanks
(1)William S.
Stopped in Sunday late in March, had a burger and took in some of the local band that was playing. The food took an age to come but in exchange for the wait I was offered a Corona on the house. Guess what...I took it. Atmosphere, color and fun is the name of this place. Do't go for the best food on the planet...but they do have the best beer...lol.
(3)AnnMarie C.
Love this place, food is great and plenty of it and beer with great service. We order the small plate is nachos, it did seem the waitress had left with our order and she was back with our food.
(5)Ken K.
Was everything I expected and more. In fact saved our motorcycle trip! We were supposed to ride from saint Pete to go around lake okeechobee. The plans were sketchy to say the least. Last minute I changed our course to Archie's . 190 miles later we arrived to find more seating than other places and plenty of parking. They even had little squares of wood laying around the parking lot for our kick stands to rest on. Ohh and the blackened fresh fish sandwich was worth the extra couple bucks we may have payed. And the staff was great. We will be back! Thank you!!!
(4)Donna K.
Great atmosphere. Didn't eat but we enjoyed the outdoor bars and live band. The trees are lit and there is great ambience!! Pool table indoors.
(5)Althea A.
If everything in Florida was like Archie's, I might even consider retiring down there. But it's not, and I never will. But I'll make it a point to come here every time I visit. It's everything a beach bar ought to be. Nautical/pirate decor, open to the fresh air, cheap, cheap (did I say cheap[?]) and decent beer, and fresh-as-hell fish sandwiches. The conch fritters are also not-to-be-missed, and they've got one of the best Key Lime pies I've had anywhere... real lime flavor, no fake-green coloring. Sooooo good! No, it's not fast food. Relax, enjoy yourself, have another beer. (And it will have to be beer - the only thing that would improve this place is tropical drinks!) There's nowhere in Florida, it seems, that isn't full of retirees, but the ones here tend toward being retired bikers. It's right across the street from the water. Being here makes me happy.
(5)E L.
Good food, great live music, good prices on beer, fun bar atmosphere. No complaints here!! Also oddly enough, this place had the best key lime pie.
(5)Jay C.
The Munchies are awesome. We had a great family time sitting outside laughing at charmingly horrific karaoke last night. Fried pickles were a big winner too. The service was much better than our last visit as well. It actually felt like we were in the south.
(5)Patti M.
$1.00 drafts (which included Shocktop)? I'm in! The atmosphere was kitchy and fun and although it is a biked bar it is family friendly, at least during the day time (I cannot attest to later hours). The bourbon wings were excellent as were the peel and eat shrimp with old bay seasoning and the service was attentive to boot. This place is a welcome break to the bore that is Ft. Pierce.
(3)Michael V.
Everything served is tasty..best burger in the area. service is very good. Can't be beat for price and atmosphere.
(5)Joanne S.
Cool atmospere and the prices are right. We had 3 beers, the cruncy fish sliders(2 big pieces of fish) the cracked conch appetizer (3 big pieces) all delicious! All for $25!
(4)Eddie M.
This I one of my favorite local burger joints. The place has an interesting history and live music on the weekends. Excellent prices.
(4)Jeff M.
Probably some of the worst food I've experienced in my 33 years in South Florida. The service matched the food perfectly too! Save your visit to this place for a beer and the live music on the weekends. I can honestly say that I have no reason whatsoever to return to Archie's!
(1)Stephen H.
I liked it. Biker Bar. Mostly outside dinning. Lots of people showing off their dogs. The fish sandwiches are popular.
(4)Michael K.
My friends talked up this place as a fun "biker" bar (we're not bikers, so I dunno what the appeal is), with the best burgers around. Six of us went for dinner on a Sunday evening. The weather wasn't so good, and the place was less than half full. We ordered a round of drinks from the hipster waitress, then the evening proceeded downhill from there. I had read here on Yelp that the kitchen could be slow, so we ordered three appetizers, then each a burger with various toppings from the menu. After half an hour with no food, the indifferent waitress came over to warn us that the kitchen was "backed up", and we might receive our apps at the same time as our burgers. A runner eventually arrived with six burgers--and no apps. To add insult to injury, five of our six burgers were not prepared as requested. A cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato and fries arrived topped only with cheese, and with only a meager handful of potato chips on the side. Another, specifically requested without lettuce, had lettuce on it, the wrong type of cheese, etc. It seemed as if the cook just made whatever he felt like. We asked the waitress to bring us a plate of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, bacon, and french fries, so we could have what we ordered, but, for me, the burger itself was nothing special, and the onion rings were soggy, too. Of course, we complained to the manager, who removed the apps from our bill, and comp'ed us one round of beers, however, when we got the check, there was still a charge of $13 for one of the MIA appetizers. They corrected the mistake, but, ultimately, we left very annoyed and still hungry. My friends insisted that this totally inept and clueless service doesn't usually occur, but based on my singular experience, this place was a total miss.
(2)Brian K.
Love the atmosphere and the catch your own Lobster tank. A great stop off for post beach eating or enjoying the beautiful day or evening.

Four of us went to Archie's on a Wednesday night in February 2009. It's a funky place, crowded, beachy, and pretty much open-air. Since it's open air, smoking is everywhere, so we ate outdoors to get ventilation. My friend is diabetic, and took his reading and gave himself an insulin shot in the car before going inside. We ordered drinks, which came right away. We ordered burgers and chili, which came about an hour and a half later. In the meantime, we asked for and got onion rings, then french fries, to keep us from starving and to keep my friend from having a diabetes problem. We asked the waitress why the extra-long wait for food. Well, she told us they had brand new cooks, and they couldn't keep up the pace, and the owner was in the kitchen screaming at them. We should have walked out at that point. Finally, the food came. It was adequate. Not worth the wait. The burgers were ordinary. The sweet potato fries were tasty. The chili was pretty bland -- meaty, with beans, but no heat to speak of. It is very unlikely that we'll return.

Music a little loud, but ok. Food was good, we had a burger and sweet potato fries. We sat in an area where you could have your pet. Good crowd, would go again. Right across the street from the ocean.

Authentic Biker Bar atmosphere, complete with pool stick swingin', beer mug throwin', greasy pony-tailed biker bar fights... do you need anything else... I Think Not! If you stop by, bring your brass knuckles... I love this place

I don't even know where to begin with Archie's. Every time we go to down to Florida (in the general Ft. Pierce area) we make it a point to visit Archie's as much as possible. Their motto sums up the atmosphere perfectly, "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem!" Archie's is a biker bar, one of the oldest in Florida actually and is a Tortuga of sorts. One's first impression of the place is usually skeptical because there is not much to it...But don't judge a book by its cover. It's a diamond in the rough, which is run and owned by Patty McGee, an extremely charismatic and passionate woman who is a local icon and might look like she will beat the snot out of you in a blink of an eye...but she is a sweetheart. If you have the chance to meet her...take it. She is a trip. Patty's got a loyal following and people of all sorts come in from all over the state to dine here on their weekend bike/car club cruises and whatnot. It is the type of place that you will never know who you will be sitting next to at any given time. Archie's has been thru a few major hurricanes in recent years where anyone would have thrown in the towel after the devastation. Patty did not...and after battles with the city she has rebuilt and become even busier and more successful. The place is mobbed all day everyday. It is bar-none my favorite place to go have a burger and a beer...I never seem to get enough time just hanging out there though. I highly recommend taking a detour when in Florida to visit Archie's. It will please, I assure you.

Great relaxed atmosphere and live music. But EVERYTHING is relaxed....the service.....the quality of the food.....too many times we have given this local favorite a second chance.

On a recent visit to Florida I hounded my family to not take me to any place that wasn't local. They would say things like "Let's go to Chili's" and I would say "I can eat at Chili's in Phoenix. Let's go some place local." So I am proud to say that I only dined at local restaurants the whole entire vacation. This is the first in a series of reviews documenting that trip. It also will be a series of reviews about Florida as well. Florida Fun Fact 1: It smells like someone ate raw sewage and cabbage and is perpetually farting. So on to Archies. At first I was very excited to go to this famous local place. All of my family talked of it fondly and go there often. It is right on across the street from the beach near the Fort Pierce inlet. Archies does have the theme of "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem." which is mandatory when so close to the beach. I first realized that something was going to go wrong when I saw there second motto hastily scrawled under the first, it read "Good food, not fast food." Oh Shit, I know what that means. It means that you will get your food when and if they feel like bringing it. This is an excuse for poor service, not a virtue! Quit acting like by writing this on a sign in your place entitles you to be a bad restaurant. A Quick list of excuses that restaurants should never use 1. Sorry we are really busy. (This should be a good thing right?) 2. We are understaffed. (I don't give a shit.) 3. The Kitchen is really backed up. (I also don't give a shit) 4. I don't know what is going on. I will check. ( Translation: I suck at my job. Imagine getting away with that at any other job.) 5. Has someone already been by? (fuck you) So we sit down. It is 1:30pm. We wait for someone to realize that we are there. 15 minutes pass. Cindy walks up. Florida Fun Fact 2: In order to be a waitress in Florida, you have to look like your over forty, have blond hair, walk like you have arthritis, Sit in sun until your skin is stretched tighter and browner than the crypt keeper and, most importantly at all, not be able to wait tables for shit. So Cindy takes our drink order and then takes 15 minutes to get that. Wait a second! The sign said nothing about "Good Drinks, not fast drinks." We place our food order and then nothing for an hour. That is right NOTHING for an hour. Oh I saw Cindy peek around the corner and then go back into the kitchen a couple of times and of course she came by and gave the five excuses above, but no "Good Food". So finally at 3pm, a full hour and half after we entered the place I had to inform Cindy that we needed to leave. She said "Oh, but your food is coming right up." I still told her that I had to go, I had places to be and that I could wait any longer. She apologized and gave me the bill for the drinks that we had while waiting for our food. She even was kind enough to say "I would do something for you, but the manager is not here." So I paid for the pleasure of not being served at their restaurant. Everyone says this place is good, but I can only rate them on what I experienced, which was nothing.

Archie's is one of our favorite places to eat. They have the best cheeseburgers and wings. The food is good at a good price. Order an appetizer if your hungry because you are gonna wait for your food so if your in a hurry hit a drive through. This is a local joint frequented by locals who know the drill. Good place to eat anytime.

Great atmoshphere, not so great food. Perfect place to stop by for a beer with friends, but that is the extent of it.

Yuck!

Archie was killed off in the comics too
(1)Joe K.

Its not all about the beer and bikes. thanks
(1)Joanne S.
(4)William S.
Pierce.
(3)Jeff M.
(4)Michael V.
Everything served is tasty..best burger in the area. service is very good. Can't be beat for price and atmosphere.
(5)LauRen B.
Live music on Sunday. Dog friendly seating!. good simple food. unpretentious atmosphere.
(5)Jim B.

(4)Elizabeth F.
(5)Dayna D.
Dog friendly patios. Friendly staff. Divey, but it does the trick if your looking for fried food and cheap beers!
(3)Jeff P.
Kitschy local dive near the water with plenty of outdoor seating. Bring bug spray.
(3)Dick A.
(2)Tamessa C.

Love the atmosphere and the catch your own Lobster tank. A great stop off for post beach eating or enjoying the beautiful day or evening.

Archie's is a delicious place to eat. They have a sign up that reads good food not fast... I have won 2 lobsters out of their tank. If you win it, they cook it. We love the laid back atmosphere, the wait staff are super friendly and the food never disappoints! They have something for everyone!

Just moved to area, lot of people wouldn't know they serve breakfast. One of the best I've probably had in recent memory, perfect. $6, totally trounces Dennys/Ihop

Yumm!

Pretty good outdoor hangout. Close to the Ft Pierce jetty. Live bands are common. Food and drinks are decent and reasonably cheap. Lots of road construction nearby so that could make things interesting getting in and out.
